On 18 December, at the Chamber of Deputies, in the presence of President Laura Boldrini, the ceremony for the award of the Confindustria “Imprese per l’Innovazione” prize was held.
For the third consecutive year, Farmalabor is among the winners of the award, aimed at Italian businesses that have focused on research, growth and development in a winning manner.
In addition, compared to the previous edition, the pharmaceutical company was also awarded the Prize of Prizes: this recognition, established by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers on behalf of the President of the Republic, was awarded only to 9 of the winning companies.
The Confindustria “Imprese per l’Innovazione” Award, realized in collaboration with the Giuseppina Mai Foundation, Intesa Sanpaolo and with the technical support of the Associazione Premio Qualità Italia (APQI), stands out for being the first in Europe to have adopted the parameters of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) for the certification of innovation.
The jury, which examined various aspects of innovation (products, processes, objectives and sharing of results), recognized Farmalabor as an excellence at national level, particularly with regard to projects carried out in partnership with the University of Bari:
– N.A.T.U.RE.”, born with the aim of developing and validating at a clinical level an innovative dietary supplement for the treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD);
– ALTIS”, linked to the InnoNetwork Call 2017, which aims to create a functional food based on Altamura Lentil PGI for malnourished elderly people.
